This microfilm is a personal project, it is my fan-based music video of Tokimonsta’s musical piece: “Bibimbap,” which refers to a classic Korean dish of “mixed rice.”

When pondering how to best display the dynamism of my masks, I decided to go back to the traditional roots of many of these masks: performance. I studied the movement of various Andong players and Korean lion dances and sought to roughly emulate their energy.

I directed, choreographed, and edited this film with the filming help of my good friend and fellow artist Mario Zie Chang.
